When: 3/9/2015 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Where:
CPCC Harris Conference Center, 3216 Cpcc Harris Campus Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208
AFP Charlotte is pleased to welcome Chris Painchaud from Bloomerang who will take a deep dive into the challenge of poor donor retention rates, and what every fundraiser can do to reverse the trend.

This session explores the Fundraising Effectiveness Project Report commissioned by AFP and the Urban Institute. The dismal news in this report can and should be an eye opener for every nonprofit engaged in fundraising. Chris will focus on the root causes of poor retention rates, and offer tips for improvement based on the principles of Dr. Adrian Sargeant and Tom Ahern two worldrenowned authorities on building donor loyalty. Sargeant and Ahern's principles are based upon years of research conducted in the sector and can be used by any organization, whether a one person shop or a large department. Chris will provide examples of their principles in action.

Chris has been helping nonprofits increase efficiency and raise more money for over 13 years, both in his professional career and as a personal fundraiser. He has worked in the nonprofit sector for his entire 30 year career.  Chris is currently a Regional Sales Account Executive at Bloomerang. With Bloomerang, he is helping to revolutionize how databases are used in the charity world and bringing focus on donor retention.

This session is focused on fundraising professionals, particularly Development Directors and Annual Fund staff. Chris gets very high marks from other AFP chapters who have brought him in to speak, and promises to provide practical suggestions you can implement in your own efforts.
