Ethical fundraising is a core component of AFP but development professionals can sometimes find themselves in sticky, tricky situations when it comes to raising funds.  This session will focus on real life examples, how to handle them, and how to stay out of trouble.

Patton McDowell, President of PMA Consulting, LLC, will moderate this panel discussion and explore real life case studies that our panelists have encountered over their years in fundraising.  Panelists include: Dianne Chipps Bailey, Lead Attorney for the Nonprofit Organizations and Foundations practice group at Robinson Bradshaw , Beth Crigler, Senior Director of Leadership and Principal Gifts for the Novant Health Foundation, Beth Fischer Executive Director for University Development at UNC Charlotte, and Rex Otey, Senior Project Director with Convergent Nonprofit Solutions.

Attendees are encouraged to share their questions/cases/examples anonymously prior to the event.
