Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Donor Service Manager oversees a comprehensive donor services program to include systems and processes that focus on donor acknowledgment, recognition, and stewardship programs with an emphasis on major gift and scholarship donors.  The Donor Service Manager ensures that private annual and endowed scholarships adhere to donor’s criteria and reports are generated accordingly, directs the overall acknowledgment process and serves as the relationship manager for select donors, and maintain accurate reporting.  As a key member of the OIA Division, this position plays a key role in the team that ensures seamless delivery of services to fund holders, donors, and the community.

Responsibilities:       Direct all aspects of the grant/gifts data for the purposes of strategic donor communication, documentation and reporting, and donor accounts services.  Serve as a relationship manager for scholarship funds including serving as a liaison for the office of Financial Aid and the University scholarship committees on donor-advised and donor-designated scholarships; develops communications between scholarship donors and recipients; establish accounts with the business office and newly funded scholarships.  Coordinate and provide information management, including input, retrieval and report generation for donor advised and donor designated grants and scholarships.  Develops and manages strategic communications between scholarship donors and recipients to include letters, newsletters, emails, and social media in collaboration with the Department of Communications and Marketing.  Prepare and manage division stewardship activities and responds to all inquiries.  Performs other as required to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications: The right candidate for this position will be a client-centered professional with at least three to five years of grants/scholarship management or related experience at an educational institution and/or non-profit organization. A Bachelor’s degree is required and/or related experience. Additional requirements include the ability to demonstrate initiative and leadership while being a team player. Strong database skills are also required.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidate must be extremely organized, detailed, highly motivated and capable of managing multiple projects at one time.   Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and fund-raising software or related systems; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
