Legacy Giving - What You and Your Organization Need to Do to Be More Effective

In the general session, our presenters will talk about real world examples of how the Donor Bill of Rights applies to your relationship with planned giving prospects.

Phil Warshauer, Executive Director, Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community
A look at the Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community's Create Your Jewish Legacy initiative (CJL) that has resulted in the creation of over 500 legacy commitments from 255 individuals and families.  This sessions will include how you can apply some of principles from this program to your own organization.  (Phil Warshauer, Executive Director, Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community)

Doug Benson, J.D. Deputy Counsel & Vice President, Foundation For The Carolinas
This session will focus on a variety of issues facing nonprofits, including the changes to the North Carolina sales tax on admission charges and other tax and legislative considerations.  This session is suited for both new and experienced development professionals.
