Bio:
With 25 years' experience in development for various nonprofit organizations, Jane is now sharing her knowledge with audiences interested in the grassroots activities necessary to achieve success.
She started her career as a special events manager with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in RI and worked there for six years. When offered, she jumped at the chance to become Executive Director of the Western NC Chapter where she served for five years. Then as Executive Director of The Kidney Foundation, she started to emphasize major gifts as the way to create donor loyalty and longevity. The natural progression from this was planned giving. With this new focus, she joined Thompson Child and Family Focus to grow their programs in both major gifts and planned/legacy giving. After three years there, she brought her expertise to Habitat for Humanity Charlotte Region. When the pandemic hit, she retired but found it rather boring. She missed the challenge of building relationships that would benefit her nonprofit organizations. And quite simply, she enjoys it!
Jane is now the Director of Development for Bit of Hope Ranch that helps challenged children and adults through equine therapy. There, she is starting up the two programs that will last for years and allow this organization to continue the vital work that so many individuals desperately need.
