Volunteers: What Can They Do For Your Organization and Your Fundraising Efforts?
Volunteers are a tremendous asset to any non-profit organization, providing services to constituents, lending their expertise to your organization, saving valuable financial and/or staff resources, and being champions for your cause in the greater community. Yet, we as development professionals sometimes neglect our volunteer programs, forgetting that meaningful volunteer experiences create lasting relationships with individuals (and their employers), who are primed to advocate for your organization's mission. Volunteers are also likely to be some of your most deeply engaged donors.

In honor of the holiday season, AFP Charlotte welcomes Eric Law, Executive Director of Hands On Charlotte, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring, equipping and mobilizing a diverse corps of volunteers to strengthen our community. Eric will discuss volunteerism, creating meaningful experiences for volunteers, and how volunteerism is vital to our work as development professionals.

After our traditional lunch session, attendees are invited to take part in an afternoon service project at Second Harvest Food Bank from 2:00 - 5:00pm, followed by the AFP Holiday Social at VGBG.
