SUMMARY:POSTPONED Gift Acceptance Policies and Why Your Organization Needs One
DESCRIPTION:AFP Charlotte's November program has been postponed.\n\nWatch your email for announcement of a new date after the first of the year.\n\nGift Acceptance Policies and Why Your Organization Needs One\n\nDoes your organization have a gift acceptance policy?\n\nDon't miss this morning session on the importance of gift acceptance policies and why this document is so important to your overall development program.\n\nGift acceptance policies are unique to each organization; they outline what gifts can and cannot be accepted; provide discipline in gift acceptance and administration; and educate board and staff about the complexities of accepting certain types of gifts. Unfortunately most organizations don't realize the need for a gift acceptance policy until they face a capital or endowment campaign, when this valuable policy should be used on an ongoing basis to provide guidance for staff, donors and their advisers on an ongoing basis.\n\nRead through your gift acceptance policy, if you have one, and bring your questions to AFP Charlotte's November program!\n\n8:30 Networking Continental Breakfast\n\n9:00 Presentation
