National Philanthropy Day Nominations Open

While November 13, National Philanthropy Day, may seem like an eternity from now, the April 5 deadline to submit nominations for the 2013 awards is just around the corner!

As in years past, there are nine award categories ranging from Emerging Philanthropist to Philanthropic Small Business to Outstanding Champion of Diversity. Nominating your volunteers, supporters and businesses for these prestigious awards not only honors and recognizes them for their work in the community, but it also builds great stewardship for years to come.

Please visit the National Philanthropy Day Page to view the full list of award categories, a list of past winners and instructions for award submission.

Are you interested in getting more out of your AFP Charlotte experience? Would you like to increase your network within the Charlotte fundraising community? Commiittees are a great way to accomplish both of these goals. When you join a committee, you are giving back to your profession. You also have an opportunity to expand your skills by taking on different roles within AFP Charlotte.

For more information about comittees including a listing of opportunities or to submit your areas of interest, visit the About Us: Committees section of the website. Also check out our blog for several specific opportunities on the Marketing, Programs and State Conference Committees.
